Family fare with a focus on seafood, signature cocktails, live music and courtyard dining
on the Bayfront are just some of highlights at
O.C. White's Seafood & Spirits.

Located on St. Augustine’s Bayfront in a historic building dating back to the 18th century, O.C. White’s Seafood & Spirits is a casual family restaurant with Old World charm. Originally constructed with locally sourced coquina by Don Miguel Ysnardy in 1790, the building was moved “stone by stone” to its current location on Avenida Menendez in 1961. It served as one of St. Augustine’s first hotels and was later purchased by George L. Potter, founder of Potter’s Wax Museum. Today, this historic structure houses one of St. Augustine’s favorite restaurants.
There are two floors of dining space, with a balcony on the upper level and an expansive outdoor seating area below, shaded by umbrellas and a jasmine-covered pergola. The upstairs is also available for hosting special events, the perfect setting for a party or rehearsal dinner. The restaurant owners are busy entrepreneurs and also have several other businesses in the city. All located within a few blocks of the Bayfront, The White Room and Villa Blanca are popular wedding venues in downtown St. Augustine. Their newest venture, The Chatsworth Pub, with 70 beers on tap and its cozy English pub atmosphere, is a great spot to meet for craft cocktails, light fare or afternoon tea in their well-appointed Tea Room.
O.C. White’s is the perfect place to enjoy the breeze off of the Matanzas Bay as you sip on specialty drinks from the full bar. Cool off with a frozen Coconut Mango Margarita, a delectable Strawberry Daquiri or a Kahlua Colada while you listen to local live music. Signature cocktails include St. Augustine Blackberry Lemonade, the Bimini Breeze or The Best in Town Mojito or try a refreshing O.C. Mocktail (mint, lime and gingerbeer). Specializing in seafood dishes such as Maryland-Style Blue Crab Cakes, Florida-Style Bucket-O-Steamers, Parmesan- and Herb-Crusted Fresh Catch and Bronzed Salmon, the restaurant also offers fine steaks, chicken and pasta entrées for dinner.
The lunch menu features a wide selection of delicious sandwiches, meaty burgers, melts, soups and fresh green salads. A popular selection is the Caribbean Citrus Salad with mixed field greens, pineapple, mandarin oranges, yellow raisins, coconut and almonds, served with honey-lime dressing. Add chicken or shrimp for a satisfying meal.
Starting at 9:30 a.m., O.C. White’s Sunday Brunch is a delightful way to get together with friends and family. Omelets are made to order with fresh ingredients and served with a choice of grits, homefries or fruit. The Eggs St. George is made with poached eggs and hickory smoked salmon on an English muffin, crowned with hollandaise sauce. Savory Shrimp and Grits or Homemade Blueberry Pancakes are other popular Brunch selections—the choice is yours! Brunch also includes a Kids Menu with Mickey Mouse pancakes and, of course, mimosas for the adults!
Open Mon.- Thurs. 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Fri.- Sat. 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sun. 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
