Owners Hillary and Bruce Lake—native Chicagoans who moved to Northeast Florida in 2018 to be closer to family—are no strangers to the industry. They owned a neighborhood bar in Chicago and offer the same vibe in their newest venture. The specialties of the house are thin crispy "Tavern Style" pizza as well as the hearty Deep Dish pies that are part of Chicago's culinary legacy. The menu also offers specialty sandwiches, salads and irresistible desserts. Hillary's offers 24 beers on tap, with a focus on artisanal Florida brews, and wines at a comfortable bar and dining room. If it is your first time having Chicago Deep Dish Pizza, please be prepared to wait. Hillary's makes everything from scratch, in house. Deep Dish Pizzas are indeed deep (about 2"), rolled out by hand and have a lot of ingredients— a full pie takes at least 45 minutes to cook, sometimes longer.
