Located on the scenic Calle Cuna in the heart of the historic district, Michael’s showcases the finest Spanish cuisine, prime steaks and an award-winning wine list. The menu changes seasonally with inspiration coming from the finest and freshest local ingredients. Chef-owner Michael Lugo is a self-taught chef, who discovered his passion for food while cooking with his grandmother in his native Puerto Rico. This passion led to a career path working in numerous restaurants from Texas to Florida, learning all aspects of the industry before striking out on his own. Dine inside Michael's casually elegant dining room or outside on the brick terrace and prepare for impeccable guest service—a hallmark of Chef Lugo's Viva Hospitality Group, which now includes PESCA Vilano in Vilano Beach and La Nouvelle, a French bistro in historic Lincolnville. Starters include Kaluga Caviar and Beef Carpaccio, while signature entrées include Seared Sea Scallops, Grilled Atlantic Swordfish and Tamarind-Glazed Short Ribs. USDA Prime Steaks (you select the cut) can be enhanced with a choice of Poached Lobster Tail, Point Reyes Blue Cheese, Seared Foie Gras or a Roasted Shallot Truffle Butter "Mushroom Crust". Winner of Wine Spectator's 2023 Best Award of Excellence, Michael's Wine List features more than 300 selections of some of the finest vintages in the world and a stellar list of wines by the glass—offering sublime pairings for outstanding cuisine. Open Tues.-Thurs. 5-9:30 p.m.; Fri. and Sat. 5-10 p.m. and Sun. 5-9:30 p.m.; closed Monday.
